The story of the Teknomar 105 project began in 2021, when a Norwegian client commissioned us to design a 10-meter scallop fishing vessel. By the autumn of 2022—following the onset of well-known events—the hull was ready; a decision was made to ship it to Norway for completion before the borders closed completely. Ultimately, the vessel was finished in Norway and remains in successful operation to this day in the coastal waters of the Norwegian Atlantic.
We had long envisioned a compact motor yacht based on this highly successful, seaworthy hull—one equipped with all the essentials and ready for cruising in the cold waters of the Gulf of Finland, Lake Ladoga, and Lake Onega.
Finally, four years later, we received an order to design a yacht-style interior for the Teknomar 105. We based the design on a modidfication featuring twin outboard motors— 2 x 300 h.p. engines.
In accordance with the design brief, we were tasked with creating a full-sized galley on the starboard side and a port-side sofa with a table that converts into an additional sleeping berth. To achieve this, we extended the cabin towards the aft by 600 mm.
A round, opening porthole was added to the head to provide natural light and ventilation.
In the cabin, we installed small, fixed windows on both sides to offer better views of the surroundings.
The yacht’s specification was comprehensive, including:
- 8 kW generator;
- Air conditioning;
- Full navigation, including radar and autopilot;
- Zipwake trim control system;
- Teak decking inside and Flexiteek decking outside;
- Hot water system.
Construction of the Teknomar 105 LC is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
